Hi, Can you keep a secret?
Here goes. I started to romance even as I cut all my teeth . Literally. Even before I had learned to roll the three R's I could pronounce it so well.
It all began way back ,when my parents imported it from Bangalore. The soothing color, sweet taste, and lovely aroma. Who wouldn't fall in love? Quite a lot of it all over the mouth, some inside and some outside. And the wonderful aftermath. My indefatigable habit of romancing with it thrice a day! It would follow me like Mary's little lamb wherever I went. To the washroom, scouts camp, sleepovers, holidays and name it. I can still reminisce, on the way to the Lake Market in then Calcutta, there was only one small kirana shop, run by a South Indian which housed my favorite .
Needless to say it was the most important part of my wedding trousseau. And it came into use and how!!!!
When I was told, from where the proposal had come I realized the wheel had turned full circle. My loyalty, association and 'romance' of course had borne fruit.
A new tense bride, but certain about one thing that I didn't have to carry my 'coals to 'Newcastle'. But no, my own precious packet came into use, as my 'hero' was into paste, something I had never dreamt of.
You guessed right!
